April, May, June & July

I know I haven't updated this in about 4 months but there's been alot happening at the Penrod house.. It started off April 9Th when Mom and Dad were in a horrible car accident and a young girl lost her life. As I was driving to gas up my car to go to Tucson where they were air-vac McKinley asked why I was crying and if her Nana and Papa were ok. I replied yes and there's no need to cry Heavenly Father would take care of them. After the wreck I was going to their house every morning for most of the day to take them to appointments and basically take care of my parents. My mom suffered 11 broken ribs, was bruised literally head to toe and tore the meniscus in her knee so she had to have surgery. My dad suffered a really swollen hand which we thought was broke, injury to his hip, neck and back, and lots of glass in his head (that the hospital didn't take out I did). Then the 27Th McKinley was burned (refer to previous post). The first part of May we closed the Jewelry Store and packed up 7 years of inventory. June we got to go camping once waaaaay down by Payson with Kevin & Chrystie. Needless to say it wasn't fun getting there. Macy got car sick and our huge hairy dog had to ride in my Yukon. Once we got there it was ok though! July we celebrated the 4Th as usual. We watched the parade, took Tammy and her friend fishing, went to Luna to buy fireworks, watched the UFC fight with Brandon and Tina, BBQed, watched fireworks, and layed on the trampoline. The four of us were on the trampoline and we spotted a airplane and McKinley says "mom I'm gonna get on an airplane and go see George Jetson!" We laughed really hard cause she's so darn cute! The next weekend we took the girls to my parents and went to Pinetop for the weekend with some family. It was only 4 of us and we had soo much fun. We rode quads in the pouring rain, ate out, went to the casino for the very first and last time, went fishing, made an awesome dinner at the "cabin" (brand new house to us), the men had a lovely skunk experience, and most of important got to spend some quality time with my husband! The 15Th of July McKinley had her tonsils removed and I'm really glad that's over! When I get my new computer back from HP I will post some pics of all our craziness!!

Almost a month to the day...Lookin good thanks to Mederma!

Let me tell you how this happened...The last week we had at the Jewelry Store, Tuesday Terell was sick so he was home. I took the girls to work with me. I was helping a customer and McKinley grabbed a little bottle of the shelf that's nitric acid, we use it to test gold. She thought it was eye drops because I had Rory's girls the previous week and they had pink eye so I was putting drops in their eyes. So she aimed for her eye and it dripped on her cheek and she panicked and squeezed the bottle. I rushed her to the sink thinking it was in her eye too. Then once I rinsed her good I took her to the ER in Springerville. They washed her and washed and washed. They were on the phone with the burn unit in Phx and they were telling them what to do. Well they insisted we air-vac her down there. So we took a ride in a airplane to Phx. The nurses in the ER did more than the burn unit. And I'm serious! They loaded her up with a baby doll, a coloring page, slippers, and even a cute blanket! They also loaded her up with morphine and benadryl to sleep on the airplane but it didn't work. She talked to the EMTs the whole time. The guys at the burn unit said it's the only kind of acid that doesn't go into the blood stream and damage your organs, also if she would have gotten it in her eye she would probably be blind. My Aunt Sheryl lives close by so she came and picked us up. We stayed the night at her house so Terell wouldn't have to drive while he was not feeling good. He got to Taylor to pick up his mom and they had already let us go. So the next morning Uncle Danny and Aunt Maudine drove us to Payson to meet Terell. Thanks to them for the ride and hospitality. Now she's healing and back to her honry self!

Easter this year was so fun! Terell was working the outage at the powerplant but they were nice and gave the guys the day off! So he was exhausted and wanted to sleep in but McKinley woke him at 6am by screaming really fast "DAD bugs bunny came to our house and gave me a necklace and candy, you have to come see!" So Terell being sleepy sticks his hand out and says "Go back to bed" McKinley cried and came into bed with me... Terell doesn't remember any of it HAHA! We colored eggs and decorated a Bunny Hut. It was fun!

Let me tell you about my week. We started out Monday with TyLee and Kyrri came over and the wind was blowing so stinkin bad. After Danika picked em up I headed down to the bank to cash Terell's paycheck. Wasn't gone 10 minutes and the wind blew the camp trailer off the blocks and pushed it into the fence and dented it. While I was trying to get the trailer taken care of I put a movie on for my girls in the car and McKinley helped herself to two brand new tubes of bubbles so now I have a bubbly car. Tuesday I worked, while at work McKinley decided to go in and turn the shower on and since we don't use the shower at the office my mom stores all her pictures in there so we had another mess to clean up. And then at 3 I went and got me a soda and by the time I got to the post office somehow a hole got poked in my cup and soda was all over my car. I then took McKinley to the Dr. for a lil sore throat and was in the waiting room full of old people with 2 kids for 45 minutes. Then Wednesday I had Ty and Kyrri again. I took all 4 kids to the park and after we got home the 2 older ones decided to play in the ash from the fireplace Terell had dumped outside. Needless to say they mixed a little water in and had war paint for their face. Nope I was not too happy. And then comes today! Weather was beautiful and it was a great day. While Macy napped I decided not to clean or do laundry I decided I should use that opportunity to spend a little time with McKinley. She came in and insisted I jump on the trampoline with her so we jumped, sunbathed and giggled. Then we came in a tried to find a project online to do but we failed. So we got a lil crafty and made a picture frame out of Popsicle sticks and she decorated it. I look at her and I just can't believe how time flies and how much I am thankful that I have her to giggle with all the time. I really wish I could just have her stay 4 forever! She's finally gaining some weight and she can't button her pants so we giggle about that too. She also got to have her hair cut short for the summer and because it was getting so long she would cry and tell me everyday she wanted it cut. She is truly a blessing to our family and I don't know how I lived my life without her.

Lately life's been crazy. Terell got his tonsils removed in January and did great! He was a great patient and I hope I was a great lil nurse. He now sleeps like a baby or so I think..maybe cause he's really quiet now? Soon after we went to phoenix spent the weekend with Terell's brother Kevin and family. I had a MRI done Saturday for a large lump in my breast. We decided to stick around till Monday morning and call for results. The results didn't look good so they wanted me to come back for a biopsy. Needless to say I was scared out of my mind so I cried all the way to the hospital. Thanks to Chrystie for watching my girls while we went. The biopsy was easy and they sent me to a Dr. in Show Low. He wanted it out..so Monday March 1st I went in for surgery and they removed it! We are so thankful it wasn't a big deal. Surgery went really great and fast. Now that everyone is healed up we can focus on going back to church. We haven't been going for a couple years now and I miss it. I want my kids to grow up just like I did. So to give us a little push the bishopric came to the house tonight and asked if I would be a secretary in the Primary presidency. I said YES!! I'm super excited to go back to church! I hope all goes smooth and I don't mess anything up too bad ;o) McKinley wants to go to primary but she gets scared because she doesn't know any different so this will help us all. I called my Dad to tell him the news and he laughed and said it was a answer to his prayers. Terell has been out of a job for a while now and things are getting crazy. Luckily we got a nice tax return to pay some stuff off and live for a while. The last 2 months or so I think how did I function without him home all the time? He gets the girls when they wake up and he lets me sleep. He cooks (nothing new) and he's helping me with the house and kids. It's been kinda nice. I will be sad and lonely when he does return to work but maybe we just needed some time together. He took me to the movies and dinner Friday night and then Saturday he was getting quite bored so he took the girls and I over to Wal-Mart and dinner. He is such a great dad to my girls I couldn't ask for more. We also got a new computer and he leaves me lil sticky notes on the desktop. I love you baby!
